Oh my WORD! That is so awesome! Our holiday plans are minimal this year - just the six of us for most of it, Christmas Eve with my parents. Neither of my brothers can afford to travel this year :(, but we're living on the memories of our family reunion on the coast this summer and our 9 snowed-in-days last Christmas.
ReplyDeleteWe stay home and let the kids open their Christmas gifts at home, then later on Christmas day we drive 3 1/2 hours to my inlaws house to open gifts there. Then, later that night or sometimes the next day we head further up north to visit my other set of inlaws (my husband parents are divorced). Every year before Christmas my mother comes out and then at the beginning of January my dad comes out. With us being military and being away from family the holidays usually last for weeks with all the families. Christmas day can be very tiring with all the driving, but the kids enjoy getting to see all the family. :)
ReplyDeleteChristmas will be delayed since Darling Husband is a pilot...but when he gets back, we will be keeping it minimal. We recently purchased our first home and started hanging with Dave Ramsey. We are spreading cheer through giving of things other than monetarily.
ReplyDelete(Sidenote - did you draw that sketch? It is divine - do you work on commission pieces?)
My mom is flying in to spend Christmas with us...my brothers are with the in-laws this year. Hopefully it will be a white one!
ReplyDeleteTHis year we are staying home and visiting family after christmas. We are working on our own family traditions. We will open a few presents on christmas eve and then Santa brings the rest.
ReplyDeleteecouvillion@Hotmail.com
We'll spend Christmas morning at home. First thing we read the Christmas story from the Bible and then have the kiddos open gifts. We'll spend the rest of the day visiting with family.

ReplyDeleteThis is going to be a tough Christmas as I just lost my sister two months ago to a drunk driver. We are trying to make it a tradition to stay home for Christmas since we have to travel so much for all of the other holidays and I want my little one to be able to wake up in her bed every year for Santa. Hopefully my mom will be able to make it down so that she won't be alone.

This year my father and brother are flying down from Seattle to be with us. My husband and I and our son just moved into a rental town home after bouncing around the last year and a half living with different family members that helped support us in a dire time of need. This year I am grateful to have a roof over our head, to call it ours, to be able to give gifts, and to cook and help provide for as many people in need as possible. Thanks to your site I am able to save money and use it where it counts! In fact, I was able to get a Mr. Potatoe Head (for my son) and a Mrs. for under $5 and found a little girl that is in need of gifts and it is a great feeling knowing I am able to help give her a Merry Christmas!! Your site is awesome I love it!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like we might be moving very close to Christmas this year. Since I am 6 months pregnant I told the kids we'd probably skip the tree because of all the moving etc. So, we will have a simple Christmas at home remembering the real reason we celebrate this holiday, Christ's birth and then make the rounds to family here in town.
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing!! Our plans this year are to celebrate with family - both my parents and my husbands parents will be flying in to spend the holidays with us!
ReplyDeleteWow! What an awesome giveaway--I couldn't resist! We'll be home from Christmas Eve (I insist upon that) and then likely off to my in-laws in the Hill Country on Christmas day.
ReplyDeleteSince our mom passed away in June we are all wanting to make Christmas special for our father. We are all going to Dallas to spend it at one of our sisters homes. We are each making 1 homemade item to give in the White Elephant swap, I look so forward to this day
ReplyDeleteShut. Up. !!!!! That is the greatest giveaway I've ever seen! I almost picked one of these up on Black Friday but put it back so I could get other things. :( We sort of do the same thing every year-get up around 6 and let our 2 open presents, then we go to my grandmas (who lives right behind of us!) for more presents and a HUGE breakfast. Then we go to our inlaws for a little bit, come home, play a little, then have lunch at my aunts. Its a chaotic, wonderful day!!!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, what DON'T we do... We start the night of the 23rd with all 12 of us (grandparents, brothers, sisters, and kids) decorating our own gingerbread village. Wake up the morning of the 24 to home made sticky buns and the 12 of us open presents. With such a large extended family we start early to be able to get everyone in. Christmas day goes in 2 hour increments like this: mother-in-law then father-in-law then father-in-law #2 then great-grandparents house. We finally get home about 10pm completely exhausted, but the kids have a great day and thats all that counts!
ReplyDeleteWOW, what a great giveaway! We are having Christmas Eve dinner at our house and going to my in-laws for Christmas day. :)
ReplyDeleteWe're going to have a relaxed Christmas at home. We did the frantic dash to relatives houses for Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway!
Our Christmas plans include going to the in-laws Christmas eve and then Christmas at home on Christmas day
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for Christmas this year as it will be our baby's first! We will spend Christmas eve with my inlaws and Christmas day with my family. Right now I am working to finish up Elleanor's stocking! YEAH!! Christmas is coming!!
ReplyDeleteThis is the greatest giveaway!! I was making cookies this weekend (with my terrible handheld mixer) and dreaming of a mixer like this one!
ReplyDeleteFor Christmas, we wake up early and enjoy watching the kids open their gifts. Around mid morning, we head to my in-laws house for more festivities. Later on that day, we visit my parents and grandparents. We drive a lot on Christmas day, but it is awesome to have that much family to share the holiday with.
Tiffany, thanks for all that you do. You are the greatest!!
I follow you too!

This is the coolest giveaway! Well for Christmas we will be sticking close to home. Just a couple family parties. Then I am being induced with our 2nd child on the 28th. So we will be going no where for New Years. Just ringing in the new year with my new family!

ReplyDeleteMy aunts and cousins are flying from Colombia so our Chrismas will be in my house with ALL our family!!! Yeeii....
ReplyDeleteWe have somewhat of Four Christmases every year! Funny but true...we always stay home on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning but then we travel to the country to my family's house and then back down for my dad's and my husband's family...it is a neverending week of presents for the kids so its kind of fun. We also love to go to the Christmas play at our church...what a Wonderful time of year and a wonderful reason to celebrate! Merry Christmas!!
ReplyDeleteHopefully we will be heading to my hometown to spend Christmas with my family. My sister and her family will be here from Texas. But I'll be 36 weeks pregnant so there's a good chance we'll be confined to our house waiting for our little girl to arrive!
ReplyDeleteThis will be our first Christmas as a family. I am so excited my daughter will be 6 months old and my husband was not deployed so we get to spend it together. We are trying to follow all the family traditions and make some new ones of our own! Merry Christmas everyone.
ReplyDeleteThis year my husband and I will be spending Christmas with my family. I have aunts, uncles, and cousins coming in from all over the US!! I cannot wait to see everyone!

ReplyDeleteMy family and I are traveling to Atchison, Kansas one day and then to Kansas City the next. Please include me in the drawing for the mixer... I try to watch my ads around town... but never a great deal for my family to buy a mixer. Thank you and Happy Holidays.
ReplyDelete-Rebecca
Wow...I couldn't resist this, entering my first giveaway! Good luck to all and as for Christmas, its about the magic of Santa and some quality time with our little family of four.
ReplyDeleteWe are having 3 Christmases. One at the in-laws and one at my parent's the week before. Then on Christmas day, the grandparents come to our house so the kids can be home to play with presents all day. We make lots of finger foods and snacks. It's so much nicer than hauling kids around to everyone's house on Christmas day. We love it and so do the kids!
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog too!
ReplyDeleteI became a fan on Facebook! Awesome gvieaway!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool giveaway! I don't get to travel for Christmas either. (Still no baby!) I'll be here watching my 3 year old rip open gifts until he gets to the one that totally occupies the rest of his day and feeding a newborn! I'm sure at some point I'll be checking out online sales too!

We moved to Charleston,SC this past march to start a church and this is the last year we will actually be able to go away anywhere for a long period of time (my husband is a pastor and he has to be here every sunday starting in january). We keep things very low key. Thanksgiving is for extended family and Christmas is just for the four of us ( my husband, son, daughter, & myself). We open presents in our PJs, eat a breakfast casserole, and play with new toys together. Then depending on our mood we will go out to the movies or watch movies at home. I don't cook, we just order a ham. It is my absolute most favorite day of the year.
ReplyDeleteWe have a huge stuff yourself silly breakfast at my mother-in-laws. complete with Boudan(sp?) the only time of the year we ever buy it. Then we open presents and visit.
ReplyDeleteI am mentioning this on facebook!!

ReplyDeleteWe always go to the early Christmas Eve service then come home and have goodies to eat, usually fresh fruit and veggies, summer sausage and cheese and crackers, and cookies. Then we decorate a Gingerbread House. Then we watch a Christmas movie. The kids are usually asleep by this point. I hang the stockings and we're off to bed. Christmas morning the kids can open their stockings, then we have breakfeast. After we read the Christmas story the kids can open their presents. Later in the day we have Christmas dinner using my Grandmother's Christmas dishes.
ReplyDeleteOh how awesome! We are planning a wonderful lazy holiday with just our little family this year. Lots of baking , movies, jammie days, good ole family time!

I had all kinds of plans for Christmas this year! We were going to drive seven hours to see my family and have a big old fashioned Christmas! But, you know what they say about the best laid plans! Instead, I will be nine months pregnant this Christmas, and ready to pop like the timer on a turkey. =D My family is coming to visit me! I'd love to have an amazing mixer like this to prepare baked goodies for them.
ReplyDeleteI will spend Christmas with my husband and kids. Then on the weekend we will probably be moving because our church is deciding on my husband to step up from the youth pastor roll to the head pastor of the church. And then the kids and I will go to my mom's and have Christmas with her. BUSY BUSY

This is our baby's first Christmas so it is exciting! We switch each year Christmas Day & Christmas eve between my parents and in-laws and spend a day with each.
ReplyDeleteI am also a follower of your blog.
We'll let the girls open presents here Christmas morning & then drive from OKC to Dallas to see my in-laws.
ReplyDeleteThen bright & early (like 5 am) I'll go after Christmas shopping with my sister to Wal-mart & Target to pick up decorations & stuff for next year plus gift sets for 1/2 price. It's been our tradition for more years than I can remember so it's nice to be able to do it still, even though we live in different states now.
On Christmas Day after my daughter destroys the living room and there is no place to walk, I will have my older children, my Mom and my sister over for a great meal and good laughs, on Christmas Eve me and my 6yr old will spend it w/ my BFF of 30 years and her family, I am a stroke survivor so each Christmas is a blessing just to be around to spend one more w/ the ones I love!
ReplyDeleteLive here in Houston too and love your blog! Just subscribed too!
ReplyDeleteThis year, my husband and I will be driving the 10 hours to visit with our parents back in Alabama. Hoping to celebrate next year here at home with family, a new baby, and lots of cookies made with a fabulous mixer!
We will be at home with maybe my mom coming to visit. I was hired as a seasonal position at a retail store so I will probably have to work the day after Christmas. It will be good to just be home and not have to travel. I would love to have this great mixer!
ReplyDeleteTwo of my sisters-in-law will be visiting. We'll have a nice, quiet morning at home with the kids, then probably join the in-laws at their house for a big lunch and presents.

OMG....I love this. Well our holiday plans are spending time with the family in LaGrange, Ga. then heading to Woodstock, Ga. all on Christmas Eve. Then the four of us are heading home to wait for santa to come for the kids. Which is going to be great because my son will be 4 in January so he is really understanding christmas this year and then his sister is having her first christmas so I am excited. Thanks so much for all that you do.
ReplyDeletewe always go to my MIL's house for Christmas Eve and if I counted right, there should be 39 of us...my husband is 1 of 8 kids. Don't worry, we don't buy for everyone, just the kids that haven't graduated from high school yet, that is our cut off mark. We always have a huge buffet of everything imaginable to eat, we sing carols and then open presents.
ReplyDeleteOn Christmas Day we stay home and my family comes over around 11AM to open presents and have lunch. Much less chaotic, only my parents, my brother, my SIL and niece.
Thanks for the chance...this is amazing!!
Wow! What a great give-away!! We have some fun holiday plans this year! My sister and her new husband are coming in from Seattle to spend Christmas at my parents home. Oh boy! What a great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteOur plans for Christmas this year follows my family traditions. Of course plenty of shopping before hand that all leads up to our big annual family Christmas party! It's one of my favorite things about the holiday as we get to spend time with family members that we might not see much throughout the year. Theres a wonderful Portuguese dinner for everyone made by my great grandmother and wonderful catching up by everyone. After the party we head to Midnight Mass at our local Church.
Then for Christmas day we head over to my Mom's house were a small group of family meets every year for gifts in the morning and dinner in the afternoon. Then is the traditional Christmas board game battle! So much fun! This usually goes into the evening with dessert served around the game board.
So that's our holiday! It might be simple to some people but it's our yearly tradition and I enjoy it so very much.
Thanks for letting me share and enter the giveaway!

ReplyDeleteWe are headed out west to spend Christmas with my family for the first time in years. I can't wait! I love a 75 degree Christmas!
ReplyDeleteHi ! Wow, what a fantastic giveaway! We are staying home for Christmas...for several reasons..first, I love my kids to wake up in their own home Christmas morning (because I always did growing up) and secondly, Christmas Day is my birthday ! Really ! So, if you pick me, the mixer will be a Christmas AND birthday present ! Also, something I thought you might like: I have challenged my husband to a $25 Christmas for each other...we'll see !!
ReplyDeleteI can tell you what we are NOT doing: This year will be our first Christmas on our own, after 6 years of spending it with family, either with family in UT or TX. It is also the first time in 2 years we will NOT be moving the day after Christmas! I am so excited about that! So needless to say, this year ought to be very interesting! But usually we put out cookies and milk for Santa, carrots for the reindeer...then Santa comes and on Christmas morning we open presents....seeing how we usually spend the rest of the day with extended family, I'm not sure what else we'll do this year since we are not close to any family.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway!! This Christmas it's just the 3 of us-- me, my husband, and daughter. We're just gonna stay home and open gifts, eat a big dinner, and relax!!
ReplyDeleteI subscribe by email and I am a fan on facebook!
ReplyDeleteWe go to my inlaws on Christmas eve. Christmas morning my three daughters and their families come to our house to open gifts. We have a Christmas buffet that last all day LOL.We have so much fun spending the day with each other. Around five o'clock we all head down to my dad's house(my mom passed away when I was ten). He loves having us all there. There are six girls and one boy all of their spouses and about thirty grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. I love Christmas and the special feelings that comes with it. I wish all of you joy and peace in your family's this Christmas season....
ReplyDeleteWe, like you have TONS of kids! Five in total! Normally we get all dressed up and go to family memebers..

We unwrap one gift on christmas eve, then the rest in the morning! With LOTS of food of course!!
ReplyDeleteJust the 4 of us on Christmas morning, then we go to have dinner and exchange kids gifts with the in-laws (whom I adore). Then the 2 kids and I will head out for St Louis for my side of the family get together. My DH has to stay and work. theindy4 at sbcglobal dot net
ReplyDeleteMy entire family will spend Christmas Day together (breakfast, open presents, lunch, lounge, then a restful evening), followed by a week of rest and relaxation at the beach. In the past few years it has become one of our best traditions!
ReplyDeleteWow - what a giveaway! Thanks! My family and I will be heading from Katy up to the Frozen Tundra of Wisconsin to visit my mom and sisters - so excited to spend time in the snow, build snowmen, drink hot cocoa by the real fire, lounge around in woolen jammies, etc, etc.
ReplyDeleteOhh, I am SUPER EXCITED about this giveaway!! My family all lives within 5 miles of each other so we meet at my mom and dad's for Christmas Eve. Santa comes in the morning for my four kids and then we head back over to my mom and dad's for dinner (and lots of cookies!!)
ReplyDeleteI subscribe via email.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet giveaway! We plan to celebrate Christmas morning at home with the kids, then later on in the day we'll head to my parents this year. Both sets of parents and all sibilings/families live near by, so we'll do Christmas with inlaws the next day, and other inlaws one week prior. Hope I can keep it all straight this year. As long as the kids are having a good time, I will too. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteMy family reads the story of the Christ Child from scriptures on Christmas Eve, then open one gift. Christmas morning we take turns opening gifts and spending time with each other.
ReplyDeleteOooh, the mixer we've had since our wedding just pooped out! My husband's arm would love a break!
ReplyDeleteI am soooo excited!! I have been wanting one of these but haven't wanted to spend the money. We are doing Christmas Eve with the inlaws, Christmas morning at our house with just the family, and Christmas night with my family. We are going to be so exhausted. I love it!
ReplyDeleteI am a subscriber! Love love your site.
ReplyDeleteSince I wont have my daughter for this Xmas year, I am going to be spending time working. :D
ReplyDeleteI'll also be doing some traveling to the gathering for both sides of the family. Have a big White elephant Xmas and share in the joy and laughter that comes from it.
I think I shall spend the rest of the time on my hobbies and see if I can make something worth giving as gifts or selling. :) My artistic side hasn't been used in some time. :)
BTW
I posted this to my facebook and I hope that I get some entries from my adoring buds who join your blog. cough. ;)
I could use a Kitchen Aid. I can never find them on sale to buy them. heh :)
We have a tradition. We spend Christmas Eve at my in-laws. Then Christmas morning Santa comes and then that evening my mom, stepdad and my sister's family come over for dinner & presents!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited about this giveaway. I was planning on getting one on black friday, but the kids presents came first and I ran out of time and $$$! Merry Christmas to your family!

We don't have what most would call a "traditional" Christmas, but we love it just the same! I have two daughters, 24 & 25 that will come in from Ponchatoula, Louisiana (they moved there to go to school, 1 graduated, the other is a senior) and my boyfriend and his 17year old son will celebrate by getting up really early (I run around the house screaming Santa Came, Santa Came) waking everybody up, cuz it's more fun for me that way! LOL - anyway, we have fund time opening presents, then I fix a giant breakfast and then we all watch tv (actually take naps) while waiting for dinner that night!
ReplyDeleteI so want to win!!!! I am hang out at home for Christmas and looking forward to it. I follow you in a reader and on twitter.
ReplyDeleteI just facebooked about the give away too.
ReplyDeleteWE are taking the kids to Disneyland for Christmas this year. They (and me) are so excited. We will come home on Christmas Eve so Santa will know where we are!!
ReplyDeleteWe will spend Christmas Eve with my husbands family and Christmas Day with mine. Thankfully they live fairly close together!!

ReplyDeleteMy extended family has a big family reunion over Thanksgiving every year. So, our Christmas is nice and quiet. Just the six of us spending time together in front of the fireplace. Perfect!
I plan to eat Chili on Christmas eve with my family and then relax with all of them on Christmas day, and our golden retriever, Mollie! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool giveaway! I'm very excited about this years Christmas. My parents will be moving this spring out of the house (and out of state) that I grew up in, which is very bittersweet for me. So, thankfully my WHOLE family (my 4 sibilings and their families) will be here for Christmas this year. I'm very much looking forward to it, and very thankful that I have the entire week off that they'll be here.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I am a follower :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing give away-than you for offering it:) We plan to go all out with decorations this year as we are finally in our new house and can't wait to decorate! We'll be spending Christmas with my in-laws one day and my family the next. I"m always in charge of bringing the cut-out cookies so a mixer would be a perfect pre-Christmas gift for me:)

ReplyDeleteMy Christmas plans for this year are to go to my husband's grandmother's home for Christmas Eve with our four kids to open gifts and have Christmas dinner. On Christmas Day, we take our time opening gifts at home before heading over to my parents house to celebrate with them.

How very nice you are! Not having to rely on the old hand mixer when making holiday treats would be so nice. This will be our first Christmas ever without my grandmother who passed away in May. Our Christmas will be humble, celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ and spending time with family and friends. Faith, family, and friends -- that's what the holidays are all about!
ReplyDeleteWe'll be celebrating Christmas at home but it sure would be fun to make some goodies with that mixer!
ReplyDeleteThis is the best giveaway ever! We are spending our first christmas in our first home.

ReplyDeleteWe are spending a quiet Christmas at home this year with our three young children - our FIRST year at home not traveling. So excited!! It will be relaxing and special.
I also tweeted your giveaway too, followed you on Twitter and followed your blog! Thanks!
Every year we have a tradition of my father reading the Christmas story from the Bible and all the kids dressed in Mary, Joseph, 3 Wiseman, Angels and baby Jesus (if we have a baby, they are Jesus, if we don't at the moment we use a doll). We get together on Christmas Eve to do this and everyone brings gifts and food to share. Then on Christmas morning we are all together with our individual families and later we get together for Christmas dinner. This year my hubby has to work on Christmas day, so Santa will probably come on Christmas Eve after all the festivities of celebrating the True meaning of Christmas, which is Christ's birth. I love your blog, just got introduced to it and love the deals you post....thank you so much for taking time out of your busy life (I have 7 of my own) to do this.
ReplyDeleteAfter 4 1/2 months in the hospital (CVICU) my husband's grandpa recently got to come home. We are looking very forward to celebrating Christmas with him esp since we almost lost him three times during that timeframe. Also after four sons we had a little girl this summer and now our family is complete. So this will be our first Christmas with our "complete family".
ReplyDeleteOk, I am leaving a comment...I am a follower...you have my email...and I have no idea what we are doing for Christmas other than dealing with the monster-in-law!! I figure we will have a National Lampoon's Christmas this year!

Christmas plans are to stay home in the morning (we usually go to my parents) with the kids and actually play with the presents they open. Then have Mom and Dad over for Coffee and treats. Then head over to Mom and Dads for Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings and a couple of sisters, neices, nephews, brother-in-law...
ReplyDeleteI do not have a stand mixer. This has been on my wishlist forever.

Kids have much more fun staying home and family come to visit them!
ReplyDeleteWe are having 6 family members flying over 1,000 miles to stay with us for a few weeks. The cousins are so excited to see each other again! We really just plan on being together and have lots of storytelling and eating. Gifts are only for the children this year. All the adults agreed with a sigh of relief to do this!

I want a low key christmas with more handmade/thoughtful gifts than a bunch of presents we don't need. I'll definitely put the giveaway on my facebook because that is one nice mixer!
ReplyDeleteWe usually spend Christmas eve with our daughter, son-in-law, and 2 beautiful granddaughters, here at our home. Then on Christmas we travel an hour away to my parents home to spend time with the rest our Family. We usually have around 30 family members gathered together in one small home, but the more the merrier...We are all totally aware that my parents are getting older and we are enjoying all the time we have left with them. My dad is 84 and my mom 77.

ReplyDeleteSeeing as I did not get to spend thanksgiving with my family because my died on the way to see them, I am hoping to spend Christmas with them. I also plan on reconnecting with a few old friends. And the best part, EAT LOTS AND LOTS OF REALLY FATTY FOODS!!!
ReplyDeleteWe are usually at home on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. Christmas Day is very busy. We visit 2 sets of grandparents. We are so worn out by the end of the day. However, this year might be a little different, because I am thinking of surprising my husband with tickets to see his favorite NFL team that will be playing a few hours away. We will miss him so much that day, but he may not have another chance to see the team that he has been loyal to since he was a boy.
ReplyDeleteI currently don't have any plans for Christmas! My parents divorced when I was in junior high and holidays have been a mess since. My mother is out of state, my Dad celebrates with his fiance's family, and my siblings typically go to their in-law's, which leaves me, the single childless one (aka the free babysitter) gets stuck either having a traditional mexican Christmas with my BIL's family (We grew up with Swedish traditions, so I'm usually totally lost and fall asleep), or to my SIL's parents house where everyone forgets who I am or why I am there.... Fun! LOL This is why I should win! Pick me! Pick me! If your child's magical hand finds it's way to my entry, then I can spend Christmas with my NEW MIXER! Yay!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe I will stay home and celebrate with the cats this year! They know who I am! :)
Oh, and I follow you, and I subscribe that way! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway! For the holidays we are are visiting with my parents; then flying to see our dearest friends who were relocated 1000 miles away this fall.
