Ha! I do the same thing...I run a daycare and I remember with my first really having to adjust to the fact that he was staying. I remember many times looking at him and thinking 'where are your parents?' I've done that with all of them at some point or another. So glad I'm not the only one! ...and yes I do think it has something to do with needing more sleep...

I remember in the hospital thinking "they're really just going to let us take her home?" or alternately - "we really have to take her home and do all this ourselves - everyday - forever??" Isn't sleep deprivation grand?
She is a beauty! If it wasn't for those eyes I would swear she was switched at birth. That dark hair leaves people scratching their heads compared to the others.

Does anyone else ever look at their new babies and wonder, "When are their parents coming to get them?"
