I am a little sad, I will miss my girls!
ReplyDeleteKinda sad to have the kids go back to school - but relieved at at the same time to get our house back in a routine.
ReplyDeleteNo kids yet, and I just graduated law school in May, so no school for anyone in my house today! It feels so strange! :)
ReplyDeleteTerrified for my SN kiddo, super excited to start homeschooling my daughters, bittersweet to see my 4yo go off to PK. Little bit of everything!
ReplyDeleteSeeing as how my little one is only 13 months old, I'm just excited to see all the other kiddos going to school! I used to get super excited as a kid and I love seeing everyone with their new backbacks and jeans with no holes in them yet. I think when my son gets to that age I'll be sad... until I get used to the day to myself! :)
ReplyDeleteMy son goes to a Mother's Day Out program. I am always excited for him to go! He needs the break and so do I! :)
ReplyDeleteMy daughter just turned one but I am already dreading five years from now when she will be going off to school!
ReplyDeleteI am very excited. My youngest started kindergarten today. I
ReplyDeletecan't wait to hear how her day went!
I'm thrilled.
ReplyDeleteI have to tell ya, my baby graduated last year and when it came time to school shop this year, I was THRILLED! My bff has a 6 and 2 year old though and she is homeschooling. I get to enjoy the madness without being tied to it!
ReplyDeleteI am excited to get back into the routine of school...and very excited that my children all have excellent teachers this year. I am sad, in a selfish way, that they are going to 3 different schools.
ReplyDeleteI follow on Facebook!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how I feel about sending my oldest off to school, yet - ask me tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteI was looking forward to the first day of school, but found myself with tears in my eyes as I left my son's classroom !

ReplyDeleteMy baby is not in school yet but I just quit work to be home with her and today is my first day as a stay at home mom!
ReplyDeletei have toddlers--but i am doing pre-k "homeschooling" for my 2 1/2 year old!! Our "official start up date" is the day after labor day--ive worked up a whole schedule on the things we will be covering!

When my kids were little I was sad when they all went to school. After they left, I walked in everyone's room. It made me sad they were not at home with me. I miss those days.
ReplyDeletewish I could go back to those days ,it made me so said when they all went to school.Love them so much
ReplyDeleteI only have one kid, and she is not back in school yet. We're cramming in all of our things on our summer list in these last 2 weeks so we are having a ball! Horseback riding today, yay! I think we'll be ready when school comes though, but I'm not looking forward to the morning scramble! We'd probably better start going to bed earlier soon.

My daughter is only three so we haven't started school yet. Although on some days I would love to ship her off to school! :)

ReplyDeleteWe're doing Joy School this year with my son. We'll start up the first week of September and we're really looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteI think a coupon binder give away is AWESOME! I especially like that it's a loaded binder.
ReplyDeleteWe are getting ready to move this weekend and am so excited to try to find a preschool that will take my oldest child (3 years old!)!!
ReplyDeleteI "like" you on facebook!
ReplyDeleteI have mixed emotions. My six-year-old daughter is starting full day school tomorrow, so it'll be just me and my three-year-old home all day. I'm excited for my daughter, but sort of nervous about what my son and I will be doing to keep ourselves entertained. And, my daughter is nervous for school, so I'm nervous for her.
ReplyDeleteI Liked your FB page (and am glad you mentioned it, I didn't notice that you had one). :)
ReplyDeleteI am excited right now that two of them started today. But will probably be sad when my youngest starts pre-k in a couple of weeks. But I need the time away from kids to get ready for baby #4 due in Oct.
ReplyDeleteI also liked you on facebook. Love your blog and all your tips. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteMy little one just turned 2, but we've started working with him on pre-school stuff since it's never to early! He's counting to ten, got most of his ABC's down and can spell his name! :) I love how quickly he picks up on things!
ReplyDeleteI'm also a fan on FB now!
ReplyDeleteJust blogged about the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI was sad today..sometimes I wish my boys were still babies.
ReplyDeleteI homeschool the 3 oldest of our 6 wonderful children. After moving and having a new baby this last school year we have been trying to finish up for last year so we can start for this year! :)
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is sad that her friends are going to real school and she is not yet... still 4 will turn 5 soon though and then on to real school!!!
ReplyDeleteI am excited she gets to start a good PRE-k in a week... she will ove it!
I also follow you on facebook.
ReplyDeleteI am sad and excited at the same time. I have a 9th and 3rd grader. They were anxious to start school today, I can't wait until they get home and share what happened at school today.
ReplyDeleteWe homeschool and we started last week. It's a happy/sad thing around here--we enjoy getting back into a schedule, but we're bummed to be back into a schedule! :)
ReplyDeleteI only have one little one and she hasn't started school yet but I know I'll be sad when she is old enough.
ReplyDeleteWell, at first I was excited that all 4 were going back to school! Then when the day came I got really sad. Its been 3 days now and I'm still lonely, but I'm getting so much stuff done!! So, I guess I'm excited, sad, lonely, and happy all rolled into one.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm not feeling anything because I don't have any kids. But I would still love, Love, LOVE that coupon binder, so I'm entering anyway! Thanks!!
ReplyDeletebtw, I just 'liked' your facebook! Yay me...hahaha!
ReplyDeleteOh, and let's see that cute baby of yours. Are you going to change the name of your blog now that you're a liter of seven?
I'm also a fan on facebook!
ReplyDeleteI am sad but happy Davin is back in school. it means no more bickering constantly with his sister and some alone time with Maggie, but it also means no more sleeping in for me. I am so torn!
ReplyDeleteI have mixed emotions...the kids went back to school today, on one hand the bickering in my home will dramatically reduce! and on the other hand I lose my big helpers that always help me chase down the little girls or help me clean up a mess that they made. :(
ReplyDeleteI love back to school time! This year is one of my nephew's first years at "big school". With all the things he could have been worrying about, all he could think of was "what if I can't find the pencil sharpener?!" So cute!
ReplyDeleteThank goodness Olivia is not old enough for school! And even if she was, I would like to think we will homeschool her, since I was. Otherwise, I would miss her terribly!! The thought of possibly getting one of your coupon binders is exciting!

Is it bad that I'm a little excited (but sad at the same time) about them going to school. They are only going 2 times a week to preschool but with 3 little ones under 5 I need a break :)
ReplyDeleteI follow on facebook!
ReplyDeleteMy kids are not in school yet, they are in daycare. I have to say I am very happy that my four year old is not in school yet....I am not ready for him to grow up!
ReplyDeleteI'm excited for school to start. Although I only have a one year old, the reason I'm excited for school to start is that it won't be as crowded at places like The Children's Museum, the Zoo, or the mall play areas. Yay!
ReplyDeleteI am both happy and sad. I am happy to have the routine back, because I cannot keep one myself at home, but I am sad because I miss them all day.
ReplyDeleteI "liked" you on facebook.
ReplyDeleteWe do "hybrid" school and started Aug. 17. (My daughter is homeschooled 3 days a week and attends a private school for homeschoolers 2 days a week. How dorky am I - I am more excited about this giveaway than the iPad giveaway I saw on another blog!
ReplyDeleteI blogged about the giveaway, and I even "liked" your facebook page!!
ReplyDeleteWe homeschool and have been back for quite some time.
ReplyDeleteIt was mixed feelings in our house watching my second grader go to school today. We are SO proud of her for working hard and getting into the Tier 3 classroom though! :)
ReplyDeleteI will miss my daughter she is starting the 1st grade today in a woodlands school but I have a 24 and 22 yr old so Ive done this before along time ago but Ive done it and at my age I am putting my free time to good use cleaning house , printing and cutting coupons but I dont have a binder so i would love one. I will also be doing some house cleaning a getting rid of old stuff finally!

I am sad to go back to school only because I work in the cafeteria, so when they go back I have to go back too.
ReplyDeletescottdwenger@fuse.net
My children are grown. I do have grandchildren that will start pre-school in just a couple of years though. My oh my...just where does the time go.
ReplyDeleteI am sad, this year as I have been for the last six years, including two years of preschool. I just miss having her there to spend time with and capture those specail moments of her growing into a young lady.
ReplyDeleteMy older two are both now attending school full time and my 3 year old is in early preschool classes two days a week. I am loving having just two little girls at home twice a week. I almost forgot how easy it was to run errands with only two kids in tow!:)
ReplyDeletei'm excited and sad can you be both, i'll miss them but a education is a great thing nowadays

I also like "My Litter" on facebook!:)
ReplyDeleteI have mixed feelings...kinda glad for some quiet time...kinda sad to go shopping by myself...kinda glad to go shopping by myself thus I don't hear "hey Mom, can I have this...hey Mom, can I have that"...kinda sad about getting up so early...kinda glad to get up early and get stuff done in good timing. Mixed feelings..yes! :)
ReplyDeleteI am excited to have my three oldest back in school! They are driving each other crazy this morning!!! I am looking forward to all they will learn this year, and especially the field trips! I am also looking forward to having more time to spend with my two little ones!
ReplyDeleteMy 5 year old started today and it was hard to leave her there. I am not use to all day long kindergarten. I think she will be fine. It is me I have to worry about. Since our attempts to have more kids has not been on our time it will definitely be quiet in my house.
ReplyDeleteI am sure that after a couple weeks I will get use to it and enjoy the time I have to sew more. Plus she will be happy that I can get errands done with out dragging her with me.
It will be good, but I am a little sad that she is growing up so fast.
Ooh, I would love a binder! I need organizational help.
ReplyDeleteI am sad about back to school, I can't believe the summer is almost over! My son had his HS orientation today.
We homeschool:) Haven't started yet...still finishing my organizing and set up!
ReplyDelete"liked" you on Facebook:)
ReplyDeleteI am very sad. I have a one in 1st and now my baby is in kinder!
ReplyDeleteI have spent all morning (until just now) helping out the classes, that makes it a little easier on me when I am there helping the teachers.

ReplyDeleteI love that they went back !!! we had an exhausting summer and I need to clean house :) but I'm not looking forward to filling out all the stacks of Back to school paperwok for 5 kids.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is too young for school (7 months) but I am starting back (last year of grad school, yay!!!) on Wednesday. I am anxious about it! It's going to be a tough year balancing school and a very mobile child! :) Also sad that we are having to start her in daycare.
ReplyDeleteMy son started 4th grade today. Sad summer is over. My daughter starts pre-k next weekand will just me and the baby. It will be very quite her.
ReplyDeleteI love MY LITTER blog. Has the best store ad with matches up. Keep up the good work.
I'm happy! My daughter loves school and missed seeing all of her friends over the summer so she was happy to go back as well and was up at 5:30 this morning and ready to go.

ReplyDeleteThis is a grat giveaway. I cant find the baseball card sleeves here in Tucson.

ReplyDeleteI am going to be homeschooling my 2 daughters. They are 2 1/2 and 1 years old, they are both eager to learn. I have been following a few blogs and through them they have helped me get setup. I am SUPER excited for my girls to learn new things through their mom!

ReplyDeleteyes I am a homeschooling mama. But I do miss just thinking about them going off to college -in about 12 years!!!Ahhh...I know I got it bad!
ReplyDeletei also have liked your blog on FB:)
ReplyDeleteThis is my first year homeschooling my third grader and I am waaaaaay psyched!!! BUT...we haven't started yet!!! Still fishing and swimming!!!
ReplyDeleteSuper excited!! The kids went to summer camp/daycare this year because of my work schedule, and it really left a dent in our pockets. Needless to say, the start of school brings some much needed relief :0) The kids however are not soo excited..
ReplyDeleteI'm frazzled about school! We just moved to the Houston area and I have a rising senior. Getting the TN school to communicate, send records, having classes transfer, updating shots, etc has been insane! I hope we can actually have him in class tomorrow. Even tho today was the first day of school they didn't have time to see him about registering until this afternoon! Crazy!!
ReplyDeleteAlso I'm a bit scared. High schools are scary and I hate that he had to transfer schools his senior year!
Well I don't have kids in school. I used to be a teacher though and I am a little sad I am no longer teaching. Does that count? Also, I love your blog and I loved your coupon class the other night. I learned tons! PS your coupon blog is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteWell my daughter just turned one so no school for her yet but I have been helping get my sisters 3 kiddo's ready for school. Also I was part of our committee at work to provide school supplies for employees families in need. Felt amazing to help everyone out and know that they will have everything they need for school. However this has made me fall behind with my coupon clipping and I need an organzing system to get me on track. Would love to win this binder so I can start getting bargains again.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome giveaway! Thank you. I don't have kids yet, but because of the blogs and the sales I knew school started today. On Friday I was commenting that even though I don't have kids, I'm not looking forward to the start of school because of all of the school zones in my area. ;) ...but actually it is because I have commitments this fall, and I'm not ready for it to be fall yet. I still find summer to be the most relaxing time of year.
ReplyDeleteI don't have kids, but I work at two public schools. It's kind of bittersweet...I was excited to see my students again and I'm happy to have a job, but I miss the freedom of summer!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway! Thank you! My kids aren't school-aged yet, but my 4-year-old and 2-year-old will be starting their MDO / preschool program in a few weeks. I am SOOO excited. I never thought I'd be that mom, but it will be a nice treat to just be me and the baby - even if it's only twice a week!
ReplyDeleteIt was bitter sweet sending my kids to school today. My oldest started her first day of Middle School, my fourth grader had to switch school because of rezoning, and I sent my baby girl to her first day of Kindergarten. Lots of firsts for us!
ReplyDeleteNow there is just one more to go. I don't know if I am more sad or more excited!
Oh-and I 'liked' you on facebook! :)

A little sad for my neices and nephews, I know how much I hated school.
ReplyDeleteSuper excited for my 3 year old son to be going to Pre-K but sad that my baby is growing up. In addition I teach so it's bitter sweet for the summer to be over and school to be starting again!
ReplyDeleteAwesome giveaway!!!!!! I've been on the fence about starting a binder. You giveaway would be a fabulous start!!!!!
Seeing your binder at a recent coupon "class" I decided to take the plunge!
I little of both! sad to see them grow up so quick but so glad to have a schedule back!
ReplyDeleteSeriously WANT THIS! I have one I've made myself, but I'd sure love to use your system! Looks fantastic! This is Julie, BTW-- met you at the SR Houston meeting! So fun to meet you, I still need to email you with some couponing/SR questions. Talk soon!

ReplyDeleteI have a 15-month old and she's not going to school anytime soon! Yay! :) It will be a day of mixed feelings when that day comes around though!
ReplyDeleteI am excited my kids are back in school, altho I am crushed that my Baybee Boy is a first grader. ACK.
ReplyDeleteI like you on FB!
ReplyDeleteI've been pretty excited in the past to get them out of my hair, but this year, (I'm happy to say) I'm a little sad to not have them around. As annoying as their arguing can be, I really enjoy their company.
ReplyDeleteMy kiddos are 3 and 2, so I sent my kiddos to "school" at hourly daycare cause they asked to be like the big kids. Hey, I had started school today too, so it worked out for all of us lol! I hope I win, I am a coupon disaster lol!
ReplyDeleteI am also a fan on facebook!
Thank you!!
This might sound a little weird, but we have our first baby. He is almost 9 months old; and I already dread his first day of school even though it's years away. I'm gonna miss my baby!
ReplyDeleteLove you blog, Love hearing all your wonderful kid stories, Love all the savings you bring into our home.
I am very excited! My three year old little man started preschool at our church last week. Now every book that he can get his hands on is a "Church School Book". He opens each one and begins to "read"... "Gen-desis one one. In da beginning, God... gibberish gibberish gibberish gibberish." I can't wait for Gen-desis one two!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited. They are toooo!! They love school, but not the homework. haha.
ReplyDeleteI was homeschooled, and don't yet have any of my own little people, but am looking forward to schooling my own someday. I loved school, and want to pass that joy down if I ever have the chance.

I am sooooo excited. Don't get me wrong, I love my kids, but by the end of the summer, they needed something new. And my middle started kindergarten, so now I only have one to deal with when I go shopping.

Mixed emotions always. My oldest just started middle school, argh! My three year old will really miss his big sisters, but there will be less fighting and chaos.

ReplyDeleteI was excited and so was my son but his little sister was not she cries during the day saying she wants her bubba back.
ReplyDeleteI am going to be homeschooling my 2 daughters. They are 2 1/2 and 1 years old, they are both eager to learn. I have been following a few blogs and through them they have helped me get setup. I am SUPER excited for my girls to learn new things through their mom!
ReplyDeleteWe homeschool throughout the year. They do get a lighter load in the summer, and of course there are camps and vacations that they go on. Yes, we did start our full schedule yesterday, much to my children's dismay. Not sure if I'm happy or sad, I enjoy the little breaks also, but I guess it is just a way of life for us.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lisa
I also follow you on facebook.

I am sad about sending my kids back to school. I like the lazy days of summer. I like going under the sprinkler with them, waiting for the ice cream truck to appear, catching lightening bugs, sword fights, picking our raspberries/vegetables from the garden and making salad & dessert togeth, and using our free bowling coupons in the summer. I have had surgery this year and it has slowed us down into having an old fashion summer and I am grateful to the Lord for that. It is a closeness I will treasure and never forget. I am hoping to win your binder as I need to get my coupons under control. I am a newbie and just starting out on trying to figure this out! I love all of your family stories and pictures, they put a smile on my face and have given me many great ideas with my own children. Thank you for all that you do!! It is greatly appreciated! Mara email at bunnies@rcn.com
ReplyDeleteSo sad to see them go back to school already! But also a little excited to spend a little alone time with the littlest one! Thanks for the Awesome summer of savings! I love your blog! It saves us all so much time and money!!
ReplyDeleteforgot to mention I already "like" you on facebook...does that count?
ReplyDeleteOh, I want one of these so much! My pumpkin is only seven months old, so no school for him yet! He's already trying to get into Mama's coupons though, so a binder that zips would be an added bonus. ;)
ReplyDeleteI blogged about you and now I like you on facebook :)
ReplyDeleteI really, really want to win.
I have a 1st grader so she is a PRO now that she has been in school. It is her parents that need the help and oh, how a binder would help eliminate the chaos in our lives at this time..It goes like this:
ReplyDelete8/23/10 evening:
Mommy says days ago: We will be in bed at 8:15...Daddy says: Stay up and watch Wrestling with me! Mom says: NO! She needs to get in bed since she has to be up at 6:00 a.m. Daddy she will be fine! Mommy thinks..OH OKAY! This is gonna go over well at 6am!
Mom goes to bed & tells dad..set the alarm for 5:15 please! Dad sets it for 5:45 putting mommy 30 mins late already! Mom runs and attempts to wake up 1st grader at 6:00 am! Dad lets her sleep until 6:25! Mom explained to dad that she needs to leave to get kid to day care by 6:45 & herself to work! Kid eats breakfast & mom notices milk drips on shirt/skirt. Makes kid change clothes! Which kid is very upset since she picked them out.Mom explains smelling like rotten milk is not appealing to new friends! Dad says (WHICH HE FORGOT CUZ I JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH HIM) that he will take her to school~ Mom grabs her lunch & leaves the house at 7am. Goes to call day care to explain she wont be there and phone is not working! (ooops...need a bill organizer too)~ So, we will try again tonight to explain the RULES OF MOM! Bedtime is at 8:15, Kid is up at 6:00, brush teeth, hair and wash face, eat breakfast, put on clothes, do hair, pack lunch & out by 6:45. Moms rules work! Trust me..I have been a mom 25 years (my kids are 18 years apart) This aint my first rodeo! Try explaining that to dad....
Looking forward to my kiddos starting school Monday...not looking forward to homework!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for my son to start K Sept 8th. He is so ready to get on the big yellow bus, go to school and make new friends.
ReplyDeleteI am excited that mine starts on Thursday. I get my me time back. ;)
ReplyDeleteI ws so sad that my girls started school. My youngest started kindergarten! I won't know what it's like to go shopping without a little one.

I'm excited! I've got all these projects that I know there's not enough hours in the day for! A little sad though because my "baby" will go to preschool twice a week this year. How did she get so old so fast!?
ReplyDeleteBlogged about it AND liked it on FB!

I have two girls, (and I nanny a little boy 4 days a week, so it's almost like he's mine!) Any way my oldest is 3 and she goes to Mother's day out program which makes me sad cause I thought she was going to be able to start pre-k. But she won't be 4 until 27 days after the cut off. Anyway, I am sad and happy cause she starts next week, but she will only go for a week until we leave for a road trip for two weeks. Then she will start again. So I have mixed feelings, but love that she gets to go and learn and play. (=
ReplyDeleteI am a little sad that my first born baby is now a sophmore. My how they grow up!
ReplyDeleteWe Homeschool and my kids think it should be against the law to start before labor day. We have rights they say. I can't blame them for being independent thinkers!
ReplyDeleteSo excited that the kids are back to school. My boys seem to blossom in that structured environment.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited!! One a Junior in HS, one in the 3rd grade and I have 2 in a pre-k church program. I work part time and believe kids (and parents) need the break and the time to socialize with other children.
ReplyDeleteI am going to be homeschooling my 2 daughters. They are 2 1/2 and 1 years old, they are both eager to learn. I have been following a few blogs and through them they have helped me get setup. I am SUPER excited for my girls to learn new things through their mom!
ReplyDeleteGrandma of 5, I always cry when they go off to school. I make a "first-day goodie bag" for each, but they love the money best!! Cherish your children while they are young - those hugs stop when they get older!! Lala
ReplyDeletefrustrated! 1130 dismissal every friday and they are just letting me know now!!
ReplyDeleteSo sad to have an 'empty nest' for 8 hours a day. First time in 9 years I have been home alone. I miss my kids and would vote for 8-1 school hours. :-) Thanks for the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteKim
I am happy! I love having a little break.
ReplyDeletePatti,
ReplyDeleteMy kids are older and in College or graduated from College...but whenever they leave to go back to where they live at now, 2 in Utah, and one in Houston, Texas with her family...I get very sad. Because we live in a very small town in PA there is no jobs and no activities for them to do here, so they love the Western part of US. So we only see them once or twice a year...not in the evening like when they are in grade school...So I miss them all a lot.
I have been excited, excited, excited!!! Not only is Jeromy back here this year (YEAHHHHH!!!!), as you know, I just started my long term sub job at Wilkerson, which is by far my favorite school I have subbed for. I find myself wishing I had your phone number quite often. Would you like me to clip out all the baby coupons (already clipping... really no trouble)? Let me know anytime. Oh, and have a wonderful school year! ;)
ReplyDeleteAmy, I mean Ms. Lamb. ;)
The boys and I are READY to get back to learning. They've been cranky, picking on each other and I don't think they even realize they NEED focused work. So I'm looking forward to the school year to start. :)
ReplyDeleteMy son started 3rd grade last Thursday :-) I am always excited about a new school year, but I miss him once school starts!

Only adult kids, and one hansome grandson, but I NEED THIS!!
ReplyDeleteI am going to be homeschooling my 2 daughters. They are 2 1/2 and 1 years old, they are both eager to learn. I have been following a few blogs and through them they have helped me get setup. I am SUPER excited for my girls to learn new things through their mom!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy the kids are back in school because I've heard "I'm bored" way too much this summer. I'm also sad because it means they are a year older now.
ReplyDeleteIm really sad because this is my sons first year, which means he is not a baby anymore :(
