How do you get grease out of leather?

I am getting worried that my kids don't need me, even the little ones. A quality that I love about my children is that they are "do it yourselfer's" if they want or need something they don't hang around for help.

I'd say 90% of the time they are very good about asking permission, but once I have uttered a child's magic word, "Yes" they are gone. There is no chancing that I might realize what they have asked and change my mind.

For example, Storie asked me yesterday if she could have some peanut butter. I said "yes" thinking as soon as I am done checking my email I will get her some. Apparently that was not in her time frame. Ten minutes later this is what I found...
Rush apparently wanted some peanut better also. I thought it was nice Storie shared with him don't you?
I was thinking Storie wanted a sandwich or apples slices with peanut butter, but now I know when she asks for peanut butter, I can just hand her a spoon and the jar!

I believe you have the most self sufficient 3 yr old on the planet! She needs a blog to herself just to impart her wisdom to others. Dare I say...Yoda!

"Can I play with toothpics" really means, "I'm going to push them through the window screen and make the holes bigger."

Do love your photo journaling of the moment. Great mommying.

I adore these two... and I am playing "Taps" for your couch.

At our house, I've come to realize that, "Come look Mama! I'm done!" is kids-speak for, "I somehow got a hold of a black Sharpie and transformed the brick surrounding the fireplace."

If I do not HIDE the peanut butter really really well, my two and a half year old will do the same thing.

I HAVE MY OWN PROBLEMS THIS MORNING!! Sorry I don't know how to clean your couch!! Adam poured a brand new bottle of dawn moisture hand dish soap all over the rug and floor in the kitchen. I took the rug to the street and sprayed it with the hose. And I put baking soda or maybe it was powder in the grout lines in the kitchen. It better work!!!!

Your kids just crack me up. :-)

Try saddle soap for the couch. If it's really set in, you might need a degreaser. DWG makes a leather and vinyl product, but I've never used it.
