Target Electronics Trade In Program
Recently my son lost his (my old) cell phone. I refuse to get him another one, he has to do that himself, but we needed to keep the line active in order to not pay a fee. Hunting around the house I found that we had no less than 8 different old cell phones sitting around. I decided to see what I could get for them ( being the frugal person I am :) and am planning on trading them in at Target for gift cards! They are launching a new program you can read about here.
I read about the Target's new program and announcement on Daily Worth. If you are not a free email member, I recommend them. You can sign up for their FREE daily email that is a kick in the pants for women! They cover self worth, net worth, saving, spending, entrepreneurship, investing and lots more!

Target: Ripping you off at the register?
If this is the case, Target is making millions of dollars illegitimately. They are not giving you the full amount of the coupon off , but they are collecting the money from the manufacturers.
It looks like a class action lawsuit is starting to take place. You can go HERE and read an interesting article about it. I highly suggest you take a minute and read it.
There is also a Target coupon petition going around that you can sign if you would like to HERE. It basically says that you are tired of having problems at the register and being treated badly.
Hmmmmm, NEVER had THAT happen.... sarcasm off now!
Target: Case it Binder Clearance!
If you happen to be at Target picking up some of the good deals this week, make sure to check the school clearance! Amber ( thanks for the picture!) found some of the double ring Case It binders on clearance for only $10.98, and some of the binder ad ins for under $3!

Target: My Shopping trip deals. Saved $64.38!
For me this is a really good example of why to coupon. I so often here from people that couponing isn't for them. They claim that there are not coupons in the paper that they would ever use or that it can possibly be worth the time.
While it can be a little harder with food items, I always encourage people if nothing else to use them for toiletries. It REALLY can be worth your time and money to take the little extra time to cut them out.
Today at Target I spent $45.13 while this might seem a high out of pocket amount for a couponer, I saved $64.38. Without coupons my total would have been, $109.51. That seems CRAZY to me to spend that amount on items that I had to pick up regardless of a sale or not.
