What a fantastic giveaway!! We will be spending Christmas with my family and then heading to my in laws to drop the kids so hubby and I can have a well deserved vacation! Happy Holidays!

I moved six hours away from my family and our Christmas traditions to live on his family's farm with my husband (which is now our farm). Back home my family always got together on Christmas Eve, went to church then had an extended family dinner. Afterwards we would drive home and take the long way so we could see all the different Christmas scenes and decorations at different neighborhoods. Since I moved away I have started the same tradition, just with my husband's family. We have the SAME routine and even dinner menu as my family so that my little one's don't miss out on the loved holiday traditions I grew up with. Christmas is spent at home with grandparents coming over to see their grandkids gifts.

What a great giveaway! Thanks for the opportunity!

Wow...how generous of you. We got to Christmas Eve services and then out to eat (we don't have any family living close) Our kids then get to open one present on Christmas Eve from us (the parents!) We then get up and eat a huge breakfast that always includes bread pudding. Read some special Bible passages and then open presents. We love it!

This will be my first Christmas without having my kids with me on Christmas Day. When we do Christmas, we will get up early, open presents, make a big breakfast, then play with the toys and games the rest of the day. If we actually get a white Christmas, we will find fun stuff to do outside too.

I was told about your blog giveaway by Audrey Beebe. I'd love to enter your contest.
Our holiday has kinda turned into a 3-day holiday spectacular. There are so many family members and friends to visit that we've slowely added more and more days to our celebration. We spend Christmas Eve with my family where my parents and sisters do our holiday gift exchange. Christmas is just a time for us and our children. We do our own christmas and then we go see a movie and visit a few friends. The day after Christmas we go spend with my husband's side of the family. We do a big Christmas breakfast and exchange gifts and hang out with his brothers and sisters all day. So much fun!

I put a comment on facebook with a link to your blog :) I would sure love to win!

Realizing some Christmas goals this year! Doing Advent with my children (the countdown to Jesus birthday), and keeping things simple. This mixer would be great for the tradition I want to begin- making sugar & gingerbread cookies with my 3 children, and have fun decorating them while listening to Christmas tunes :0) We also do this at Thanksgiving time for my Nana who is in a nursing home with dementia. She doesn't remember us, but it teaches us that true love is when you give to someone and don't expect something in return. Merry Christmas!

All five of us ( yes ever James) are traveling to New York state to be with family for Christmas. Also having all the family in the same place we will hold a memorial service for Grandma at her favorite chapel in New York. It should be beautiful to have a White Christmas and to celebrate Grandmas life. Sadly Charlie and the Cats will be left behind :(

This year, my son is 14 months old, so Christmas is going to be TONS of fun! PLUS...we just got our first house, we should close this week. SO, we are celebrating our family in our new home! (Such a needed move since the area we live in has really gone down hill, and was no longer safe for our son). Landry (our son), loves Christmas lights, so I can't wait to decorate our new home.
I love this giveaway! I've wanted one of these forever, I do a lot of baking. My mom is a high school assistant principal, and I bake cakes for the staff for birthdays. I have to use her mixer because they are such big cakes, so having one of my own would be fantastic! I am also going to subscribe and facebook.

Your blog just amazes me everytime I visit! How do you keep up with it all? You young mothers are just plain out amazing.
Plan on just being with family this Christmas, maybe dig out and finish some "old" Christmas projects that are hiding in the closet.

Tiffany how do you do it! All those beautiful kids, an awesome web site and 'give away contests to boot.'
I am actually headed to Texas to spend a couple of weeks with my grandkids (your niece's) and celebrate an early Christmas with them. My hubby will pick me up on his way home from his current movie, and we will make the delightful drive clear across Texas, NM,CO. and home to Utah for a very quiet Christmas. We have decided to keep it very small this year just for the simple fact that we have had so many blessings lately, that big gifts just don't seem important right now. This of course is his idea and I support him 100%, but a new mixer would make my season bright. This is my first time into your blog, so give Tonia some extra credit cause her blog always mentions you and I got in through hers. You do a great job and I will follow it from now on. - Thanks- Becky Roundy

Christmas plans this year? Playing with the new KitchenAid I'm going to win!! lololol! ;-)

AND... we'll be going to MIL's house sometime during the day. Our kids are young enough, that we wish we could stay in our jammies and let them play with their presents all day. BUT, asking MIL to cart ALL of her presents to our house is a bit much. So, we'll go there, probably for Christmas lunch.

Thanks for the chance! Awesome giveaway!

Jenn said...

We do our family thing here at the house and linger over a breakfast of cinnamon rolls and bacon-waffle casserole -Oh, the carbs! Yum! We read the Christmas story at the table before tackling presents. Next, we play with our toys, call extended family and just sit back in bliss. Later, we bundle up and go have Christmas at Grandma's with all of my family driving in from all over. Instead of a gift exchange (which could get pricey) we all bring an item from our house; we call them 'yardsale gifts'. Some are great, some are quite ornery. Gifts are wrapped and place din a pile in the middle of the floor and we play a game of Sneaky Santa with them. Lots of laughter and love. We stay and linger over good food and good company until the children start dropping like flies and then we drag ourselves home. With blurry eyes, we light the Christ candle in the Advent wreath and read our final Advent verses of the season.

My mixer died, right before Thanksgiving and I'm broke - what a fun possibility! Thank you for hosting such an incredible giveaway!

My mom's family meets a week or so before Christmas for pictures and gift exchange so that we can all do things with our own families on the day of Christmas - sure makes it easier! And this year, my cousin is home from overseas - so a true gift to us all!

Robin Wright sent me!

This has been such a taxing year. My mother has been through cancer, she's now legally blind, my father had a blockage in his kidney has lost sight in one eye, my mother in law came home from the nursing home and is bedridden and my husband is working two jobs... Our plans are going to be a little different this year.

But I've still found my joy in the season. Bills were ignored so that my girls will still believe in Santa and right now, holding on to that innocence is so much more important than a month of phone service.

We'll be spending Christmas Eve with my parents. That was always the family dinner and excitement when I was a kid. :) We opened all of our presents then too. The girls get more excited for that than Christmas Morning.

I hope it holiday season finds you and yours lovely!

Alfbecky said...

We go to my brother every year and we always try to think of new recipes to make. Half of the family that will be there are vegans so it always is an interesting day. In the family there are 19 total people going to be there 9 kids and the rest adults and most of the time my sister in-laws family shows up too. So they end up with a packed house on Christmas.

My plans this year is to hopefully make our 1 year old's First Christmas the best one ever. We relocated to San Diego 4 months ago from our home in Texas, so we'll be without family this year. It's alright, because we've made a few great friends here thus far. We've put up lights, sung her (Bailey) Christmas songs and wrapped her gifts. She's SO curious to what's in those boxes. We'll have a 12 pound turkey to devour among the three of us, so a lot of sleep is in store..

Thanks for the opportunity..

This Christmas should be a super fun one for me! My baby boy just turned 1 on the 3rd, so it will be so exciting watching him open up all his fun gifts! I can not wait! We will probably be spending the night at my parents house on Christmas eve to wake up bright and early (or at least when the younger kids wake us up!) on Christmas morning! We usually do cinnamon rolls for breakfast, and than a huge family dinner! Having my baby boy in my life now has opened my eyes to cooking! I just want to bake all the time!! So a new mixer would be wonderful!! Hope you have a fablous holiday season!

We are having a baking party with the in-laws a few days before Christmas. Then Christmas day my family and my fiance's family will have lunch together. This year I will get to help decorate for the lunch. Maybe soon I can start cooking!! I became a follower and will post on facebook about this.

We just stay home with our 5 kids and spend a very lazy day enjoying too much food and a few presents. It's what we'll do again this year I'm sure. There is no family living anywhere close other than the 7 of us - kind of nice but kind of sad.

For Christmas I plan to learn how to blog for a chance at prizes! It has taken me a few days to master this simple message so here we go. I am looking forward to being at home for Christmas with my family, opening gifts, eating and relaxing. This may be my husband's only day off and we plan to enjoy it doing as little as possible, yet making it another great day to remember when our children are grown and have their own family. I will cook like I am feeding the masses. My extended family will call and ask what I have cooked and tell me they are coming by for a plate-the foil and paper plates are ready to go!!! They will stay and chat for a few minutes but they will soon move on to their next destination-my feelings will not be hurt. For Christmas, you really cannot make any plans for they will just get replanned by someone other than you-so I "plan" to go with the flow and be prepared for whatever comes my way....

This Christmas we will stay home, just the 5 of us (well the 8 of us if you include our two little dogs and our cat.) This time of year is so busy that we decided to do what is right for us, and that is to stay home and enjoy our time together. Happy Holidays!!

Well, I am about to have my third baby girl! I have a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old. I am due Jan. 17th but have gone 3 weeks early with my other ones. Which puts us right at... Christmas! So our plans are to stay close to home, and spend lots of time celebrating the holidays with family and friends. Decorating, going to look at Christmas lights, baking cookies and drinking hot chocolate! And wait for baby sister to come along!

Thanks!

We'll be keeping our tradition of 29 years now! Christmas Eve with a family friend and then midnight candlelight service at church. We all sleep in one room together (sprawled all over the floor) and then wake up and open gifts. Brunch follows and then a NAP! After that it's time to eat again!

Hanging out with the family when I'm not working. Nothing spectacular, just together time which is fine with me.

Well, since my family and I have moved twice this year, we're Like Tradition having Christmas at home. I live with my Parents and Grandparents and My mom's birthday is Christmas eve.
So, I'll either find a resturant that's open on Christmas eve (I start planning that in November) or if it's not available, I'll cook my mom and the family Her birthday supper, per her request.
My brother and I get to open one gifts on Christmas eve, after Mama Opens hers, Christmas Morning. We all wake up and open presents then my Mom and Grandmother cook a huge Brunch for everyone, and the day is spent relaxing, talking, and taking stock of all we're so very thankful for, figuring out gifts/how they work etc.
While rememebering fond memeoryies of my Great-Grandfather who passed away a week before Christmas, 5 years ago. We loved and adored him. Christ is the Center of our Christmas. We also incorperate Chanukah traditions as well.
There are Many traditions of Christmas in my family that are all over the month of DEC. but I'll refrain since I've gabbed enough! Thanks for the chance to win!

I am hosting dinner for my family and my husband's family on Christmas day. We like to stay home so the kids can play with their toys and aren't being packed in the car running all over the northeast visiting family.

I have a LOT of baking and cooking to do in the days leading up to Christmas and a brand new mixer would certainly help!

Angela said...

My family will be spending time with our family and friends this year. We are praying Grandpa makes it to Christmas for one more time.

Because our families live so close, we spend a lot of time in the car between homes. This year we're going to spend that time talking about what we're thankful for!

I normally wing it. The cosmos has a way of destroying the best laid plans. So the most planning I normally end up doing is figuring out ahead of time what we will eat for the holidays. Of course sometime during the holidays the kids will open the advent calendar and we will read stories and bake cookies but other than that I haven't etched out details.

We have brunch with my parents, brother and sister and their families. They have small children, and it's such a joy. This will also be my first Christmas as a grandma. My "bonus" daughter and her husband have a son who will be 3 months old on Christmas Eve. This will be a very special year for us. I do most of the baking for the family and sure could use a nice new mixer!

You know we just do the usual....nice dinner on christmas eve, open the new pj's, put on the santa hats, deliver last minute goody plates and gifts, and ooooh and aaaah over all the pretty christmas lights as we pass. come home throw the kids in bed and do the usual santa thing.....my daughter 17, told me the other day the year she realized there was no santa, was the year she woke up in the middle of the night hearing me and my husband in the living room talking and putting together toys. she heard me leave the room to get a screw driver or something and heard my husband fart....ooops,... she then realized that there was no santa, because why would santa fart?!.......

My husband and I are trying to start our own traditions for our little family unit of 2 adults + 2 cats. I am working at a coffee shop, which shall remain unnamed and is in fact open on Christams Day. (GRRR.) (Which is not the tradition we want to start, but I digress.) So I will most likely be working. We live several states away from both of our families, and once I knew we wouldn't travel, I don't mind working too much. It will allow some of my other coworkers to spend time with their families. My Mom may come down to spend Chistmas with us. I hope she does. My grandmother died a year ago, Mom is single, bro lives in France and sis will probably spend time with her Dad and boyfriend- which leaves Mom sitting alone. The day after Christmas Husband and I will travel to see his family for a few days.

We celebrate Christmas by having my sister and her family and my parents over on Christmas Eve. We all go to church in the evening and then we come back for a big supper of roast chicken, with rice pudding for dessert. One of the children gets a bowl of rice pudding with an almond inside and gets a special gift.

My husband and I usually buy a Christmas gift for each other that is a "family" gift, we were going to buy a mixer this year but we don't have the money. It would be so great to win this!
