Our Christmas plans always include spending time together as a family for lunch/dinner. In the morning, we open our gifts (mom, dad, daughter) and then the afternoon is spent with extended family. I am lucky because we all live within 30 minutes of each other. ♥

We are going to Arizona to ride the "polar express" train. (The Grand Canyon Railway...they read the story and take you to the North Pole to see Santa) This will be our first time and we are so excited.! Then we will head back home and celebrate Christmas Day with our family. I will be hosting for the very first time....I am so nervous! Hope it turns out well! I have always wanted one of these mixers...but have never been able to put it in the budget. I would be beyond excited to win this...(so would my 16 yr old hand mixer!) ;-)

My family will enjoy a nice Christmas at home, However, Christmas Eve will be spent with my parents and their friends. Nothing spectacular is planned. We are just happy to spend it this year with our new addition. He was born in October.
What a fantastic giveaway.

Erika said...

Your tew cute sister sent me to your blog and I'm very excited about your contest!

My husband and I just married in October, so this is our first Christmas as a married couple and we decided to spend it just the two of us :D

We put up a little Christmas tree with lights and red and green ornaments (Christmas is about red and green!) It was so fun decorating a house that is all our own.

We plan to sleep in, have cinnamon rolls for breakfast (Husband's favorites) and then open presents together. I suspect we'll end up waking up early because Husband is still a little kid when it comes to presents.

After presents are over, we'll cook a big dinner together - since getting married, we've discovered we really love cooking together. A kitchenaid mixer would definitely fuel that fire! Then we plan to go see the new Sherlock Holmes movie. And that'll be our first Christmas together :)

Thanks for the cool contest, and I hope that you and your family have a wonderful Holiday!

We are a military family of 6 with no close relatives nearby so we will have a quiet Christmas Eve - go to church and then maybe drive around and look at the lights around town. On Christmas day it is gifts with just us and friends coming over that evening for dinner :) We also have a birthday cake for Jesus that evening (I could make it in a new mixer - that would ROCK!)

Kari Burnside said...

This year is going to be a little different for our family as I lost my job six months ago and have been unable to find a new job. We will be staying home and doing our best to remember what Christmas is about. We will be going to Church and praying that 2010 will bring me employment and that we will be better people by helping others whenever/however we can.
Happy Holidays to everyone!! XOXO Kari, DeQuan (15), DeAndre (12), DeShawnte (10), and KiMia (1)

I'm a new follower! My holiday plans are spending time at grandma's with my kids. They are super excited and can't wait for Santa to come...I was told that Santa comes down the fireplace and if we don't have one then Santa doesn't come. My son in preschool told me this - he was concerned when he found out we were going to grandma's for Christmas - but then remembered she had a fireplace. LOL!

We usually stay home and visit family. This year we will be spending all of Christmas break in Austin. My husband is a state trooper. He promoted this year and had to move to Austin. He is there usually Monday through Friday. So we decided we would go stay with daddy (because he is the best daddy :)) this Christmas. We will still come home to do Christmas eve and Christmas day with our families.

Hope everyone has a great holiday.

For Christmas Eve we will go to a mid-night service and then afterwards sing Happy Birthday to Jesus. This year will be the first with our 8 1/2 week old daughter we want to impart with her the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. On Christmas day we will have an easy day since my parents will be out of town. We will begin with worship and prayer as a family. Then we will go to a breakfast at my husband's sisters house with his dad's family and have dinner at my husband's mom's house.
Merry Christmas to you all!

I would love to win this mixer for my Aunt. She told us on Thanksgiving how hers broke and would only work on high speed, so she had to keep unplugging it to keep all the batter from flying out of the bowl:-)

I don't know if I have much of a chance to win, but I have to try because I have been wanting a Kitchen Aid for years. Anyway, we will be going up to Idaho for about four days. And then coming back to Utah the morning after Christmas to house/dog sit for my aunt and uncle, while the are in Hawaii. To be honest, I wish I was going to be with them this year. However, I can't complain because they just bought a new hot-tub!
