I want the Clean Bed!

As a child in a larger family, there are a few things that are important to you when going on vacation or traveling. One of them is sleeping arrangements.

More than likely it involves a sleeping bag and the floor.

Recently, on our way up to Dallas for a quick vacation, the conversation with our oldest turned to the sleeping arrangements when we got there. I could tell he had been thinking about it for a while by the time he brought it up.

"So, I didn't see any sleeping bags in the back, where am I sleeping when we get there?" he asked.

"In the hotel room with us." I replied, knowing full well what he was asking!

"No, I mean, like, I call like, on of the beds because, like, I am the oldest." he says. "Do I have to share the bed with anyone?"

I looked at our confirmation again and explained that there were 3 queen beds, a pull out sofa bed and a pack and play for the 2 year old.

"I want the queen bed!" He screams from the middle seat. "I call it first!"

Then from the very back of the suburban I see hands waving in the air and an 8 year old that had been eavesdropping, yell at the top of her lungs....

"NO, NO ME! I call the CLEAN bed, I call the CLEAN bed!" She yelled.

After having a good laugh and explaining to her that hopefully all the beds in the hotel would be CLEAN, but that they would be sharing a QUEEN bed, I started to worry.... what are the condition of her sheets at home? And why was she so excited about a clean bed???!!!
