How to save on ink!

If you have not seen this article it is really interesting, it is about how to save on ink. I caught it today on Yahoo.

Did you know that printing your documents in Century Gothic instead of Ariel will save you more than 30% more ink?! Infact a school district in Milwaukee switched fonts and they estimate that it will save them $10,000 this year alone! Certain fonts are "skinnier" and take less ink to print. But, most people use the thicker fonts because they are easier to read, like Ariel and Times New Roman. So next time you have a bunch of pages to print you might want to change the font to save ink! Too bad we can't change the font and borders on coupons, it would save a ton of ink!

Winner of the Taco TVP, and other ramblings...

My husband has accused me of "fishing for compliments" by saying I hate the way I look pregnant. I swear I wasn't, but thanks anyway for all the nice words! Have you ever taken a picture of yourself or seen yourself on video and were genuinely surprised?? After I did that I kept saying to my husband, "Really? Do I really, for real, look like that all day? Does the camera change the way I look??"

"Yes, honey that is what you look like, (and for his sake he adds...) and I love you!"

Hmmm, my brain is really twisted then, because in my mind I am about 20 lbs lighter! Oh well!

Kroger: Exclusive "Digital Choice Rewards!"

Kroger has rolled out an exclusive promotion called Digital Choice in which shoppers are rewarded with 15 free music downloads that are iPod/iTunes compatible, 15 free ringtones supported by all major cell phone carriers or one free movie ticket.

From now through Saturday, April 17, whenever customers purchase any 10 participating items at any Kroger store in the Greater Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth areas they will receive a Catalina coupon that has a redemption code for one of the entertainment opportunities mentioned.

Printed instructions will appear on the Catalina coupon directing shoppers to www.DigitalChoiceRewards.com to redeem their reward instantly.

There is no limit on the number of rewards a customer can receive. The system will print up to five redemption codes on a single Catalina coupon. If a shopper buys more than 50 participating items they will receive two or more coupons.

Customers have more than 100 product options to choose from. A few highlights include Juicy Juice; Breyer’s Ice Cream; Colgate Total Toothpaste; Cottonelle Bath Tissue; and Skippy Peanut Butter.

Here is a goofy video I made showing you how my family eats Taco TVP. TVP in general stands for Textured Vegetable Protein. You have actually probably had it many times and didn't even know it. Many restaurants and fast food places (Taco Bell) use it often in their menu. Most of the canned chili at the grocery store has TVP in it.

My kids LOVE it, and I love it that they can make it themselves and not have to turn on the stove! We use it all the time in quesadillas, enchiladas, tortilla soup, taco's and burritos.
