How to slice an avocado and make guacamole! Video.

O.K. don't laugh, I made a little video about how to cut an avocado and make simple guacamole. Tucker filmed it with the camera and not the video camera so the quality isn't great.

Simple guacamole recipe:
Some kosher salt
Few tablespoons of pre-made salsa
If you have it, some lime and maybe a little cilantro. Yum!

Do you have a good guacamole recipe??

I watched the video without sound because I wanted to see if you used the Pampered Chef avocado knife. : ) Now I need to go back and listen to it as well!! I'll have to send you a catalog so you can see all our cool gadgets. Do you use fresh pineapple a lot?

Uh-biggest questions yet:

1. Did you save me any?
2. Will you have some at your coupon class?

My husband makes a wonderful guacamole. He mixes a little mayo and sour cream in with the avacado then puts in a little diced onion and hot sauce. I never liked guacamole until I had his version! YUMMY!

California girl over here with my Mexican brother in law, lol he held me down and force fed me guac for the first time when I was 10 years old (literally)and before I had any I thought it was the most digusting thing ever, but once I tasted it, it become a lifelong love affair. LOL I have guac just about every day.

On a daily basis working on the fly, I'll make my guac with just a little garlic salt and a squirt of lime or lemon juice, but if I'm actually making REAL guacamole, I do garlic salt, lime fine chopped cilantro, and pico. Which is perfect.

Jarred salsa over here would be sacralig! lol At least in front of witnesses. LOL

I alsocut my avocados just like you do, in the rind, but I scoop mine out with a spoon to get all of it out. Avocados can run as high as $1.99 each on sale here so you can bet I scrape that rind clean!

* pico = pico di gaillo but I can't spell it right so I didn't type it out!
